The UNC Walk-Ons were one of my favorite things while attending UNC Chapel Hill. I joined the a cappella group in the spring of 2012. Over the next several years, I served as the group’s publicity manager and president.
I developed a new logo and brand identity, including the iconic shoes that all Walk-Ons now wear. I also substantially increased our social media presence, increasing our Facebook likes by over 230% (from 300) in one semester.
I also led the group to compete in the International Competition of Collegiate a cappella (ICCA) for the first time in February 2014. The following year, we advanced to semifinals in Gainesville, Florida.
I also oversaw the recording, marketing and launch of our first CD, Step by Step.
